What Sets Us Apart

Ophthalmology

From routine eye examinations and laser vision correction to emergency surgery for retinal detachments and corneal transplant surgery, Lehigh Valley Health Network can handle all your family’s eye care needs.

Our routine eye care includes examinations to determine your appropriate eyewear prescription and the correction of common eye problems that can be treated in the office or with minor surgery. During your eye examination, our opthalmologists can recognize potential medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke or other disorders and direct you to resources or specialists at Lehigh Valley Health Network to have these matters addressed.

If you are pregnant and have your baby at Lehigh Valley Health Network, you can be comforted knowing we have the experience to screen premature babies for a condition called retinopathy of prematurity (a condition that can lead to blindness if not treated immediately) and correct it before it's a problem. If you suffer from cataracts, we can restore your vision with intraocular implants which are prescription lenses that are put into your eye and replace your clouded lens. Whatever your eye care needs, we're here to help you.

Need Help? Call 610-402-CARE (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday) to talk to nurses and other experts who can help you find a doctor and more.
